MILA

Mila is a little Jack Russell female who stands 7cm tall

made from Sassy longpile velvet and tan ultrasuede.  Her collar is suede and beaded

Mila is firmly filled with polyfibre.

She looks forward to finding her new home.

Digby

Digby is another Basset hound creation.  I love how these dogs are all out of proportion and quirky.  Their bodies are way too long for their wrinkly, crooked legs......and their ears and flews are far too long as well. 

Digby's smooth coat is fashioned from a white velvet and two shades of brown. His inner ears and eye whites are suede.  His fur is a little large for his body which give him his wrinkly ankles.

He has five cotter-pin joints allowing him lots of movement and posing positions. He is filled with poyfibre stuffing. His eyes are black German glass.

Digby loves to sleep and stretch out on the bed with his long ears flopping every which way!

He adopts very cute poses to entice you to throw his ball for him......who can resist this little face?

Like all Basset hounds, he is short and long......and measures 6cms when standing;  from nose to tail he measures 9cms

A brass bell hangs from his brown ultrasuede collar.

Major - the Basset Hound pup

Basset hounds were originally bred for the purpose of hunting rabbits. Their sense of smell for tracking is second only to that of the Bloodhound. The name Basset is derived from the French word bas, meaning "low", with the attenuating suffix -et, together meaning "rather low". Basset Hounds are usually bi or tricoloured .

 

Major is a tri-coloured pup fashioned from caramel, red-brown and white vintage longpile velvet.  Like all of his breed he is short and solid, holding his curved sabre tail high over his long back.

 Everett Millais, founder of the modern Basset Hound, is quoted as saying "Oh, he's about 4 feet long and 12 inches high." in reference to his French basset.   Our little Major stands only 5,5 cms high!

He fits very snugly into the palm of my hand

His eyes are German glass  and his nose and mouth are hand embroidered .

The Basset is known for its saggy-baggy loose skin, and big dewlaps - which cause it to have a sad look. Needle and scissor sculpting helped me achieve this effect.

He has very long ears in two shades of caramel .

 Major wears a brown ultrasuede collar a with a brass bell.

Major has been 5 ways cotter-pin and wobble jointed allowing him plenty of movement and poses. He has been firmly stuffed with polyfibre

He is not very obedient but has mastered the 'sit' command.....

Alfie

Alfie is nothing but a hound dog!  His coat is a mix  Sassy longpile velvet  and rough suede in honey and rufus tones. 

He is 3 inches tall standing on his hind paws but a mere 4cms high when standing on all fours.  His tiny size enables him to fit easily in the palm of a hand, or be popped into one's pocket.  He likes to accompany his owner everywhere and is well behaved.

His muzzle is square from extensive needle and scissor sculpting with a hand shaded and embroidered lower lip.

Suede and velvet eye-sockets were created to house his German glass black eyes.  His nose is black resin.

HIs hind paw pads have been realistically needle-sculpted ,then  embroidered with DMC cotton thread.

Alfie has a wobble-jointed head allowing him to adopt multiple head positions. His limbs are string jointed. His forelimbs have wire armature to assist in movement and posing. 

Nobody knows who his father was.... but we suspect it was a terrier of sorts, judging by the shape of his adorable ears.

He wears a furry collar embroided with antique metallic thread and sporting two tinkly brass bells.

Alfie is stuffed very firmly with polyfibre filling...and a whole lot of love too!
Due to the small parts he contains he is not intended for children or pets.

Riley

Meet Riley..... the newest addition to the 'Eddybare' family.  I am not sure what breed he could possibly be, certainly not one recognised by any Kennel club.  So a street dog he is ... a fine, hairy one!

Riley stands 7cms high.  He is made from  black Mohair and white Imported Schulte synthetic.  His inner ears are grey Ultrasuede. 
His tiny paw pads are fashioned from black leather.

Warm, soulful, dark- brown eyes light up his mischievous face and his wet, black resin nose gives him a healthy appearance.

Internal wire armature gives Riley a good stance. He has unjointed limbs and a wobble head allowing it to rotate, swivel and be posed in most directions.  His ears are long and floppy; and unwired, but can still be moved slightly to allow for posing.

Riley has a long, scraggly, waggly tail.  One need only to glance at his tail to see what mood he's in.  There is a light wire armature within so he can be posed with his tail up or down. A tiny Eddybare label is sewn in under his tail, so as not to be too noticeable, but at the same time proving he is an original!

 Riley wears his brown leather collar with a little brass bell attached .

You may think Riley doesn't seem to have a mouth, but he does!  It's hand embroidered and hidden under his scruffy fur.
