Pochi, Yuki, Nori and Dijon

Four new  little frogs will be uploaded into my  Etsy shop on Tuesday 9th August at 19h00 BST

Two strands of quality yarn held throughout the knit,  one being a fingering or 4 ply weight and the other a fine strand of Mohair silk from Nurturing Fibres.

Safety eyes have been used.

Pochi, Yuki and Dijon have wire in their limbs so can be posed in various positions.

Litte Nori  has no wire in his limbs  so is softer

The difference in prices of the frogs depends on the hours spent in creation.  

•  Fitting internal wires into the limbs is fiddly and incredibly time consuming.  
• whether a sweater has been included or not.
• whether embroidered features have been added to enhance the look

1.     POCHI

 Pochi is a generic name for a dog in Japan, just like our English stereotypical dog name of Spot .  I think it suits this spotty, warty frog perfectly.

2.   YUKI

Yuki can mean happiness, good fortune or a blessing.  

Yuki is a real yogi frog, wired with strong wire in his limbs to enable him to practice his yoga asanas.  Not as soft as the other frogs due to his strong wiring.

3.  NORI

Nori is a seaweed green colour hence his name.  He is unwired and super soft and cuddly.

Custom Orders for frogs

Custom orders for frogs are welcome and will take 2 weeks for completion. 

Frogs will be knitted from Claire Garland's Dot Pebbles_knit frog pattern

• Do you want frog wired internally  for poseability 
• If a sweater is required.  If so, plain or striped and  colour preference.  I’ll send you a photo oh the yarns I have closest to your choice and wait for your final decision

Mizu

 

This soft and adorable frog is knit from two strands of yarn held together ; a soft Yorkshire 4 ply yarn in a fern green plus a strand of mohair silk    

Mizu sports a striped sweater when cold

Fits easily in the palm of a hand. His body is  9 cms  however all stretched out he reaches 15 cms

He’s very cuddly and squishy as he has no wire in his limbs

Blue is knit with two strands of yarn; a lovely green plus a strand of pale blue mohair silk. He has  embroidered features

His limbs are wired allowing him to be posed in different positions

Midori is a lovable plump green frog made from 2 strands of yarn;   Yorkshire Baa Ram Ewe 4 ply  plus a strand of fine mohair silk from Nurturing fibres

Her limbs are wired allowing her to be posed in different positions

She has golden safety eyes.

Sitting comfortably in the palm of your hand Midori measures 8,5 cms and stretched from head to toe she measures 15 cms.

Please note she is not a child's  toy as she has small parts which may be choking hazard
